I’m a lifelong resident of Columbia and a graduate of Dreher High School. In 1993 I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in History and Political Science. Had I known then I was going to be a real estate broker, I would have studied psychology instead! What I love about real estate is the diversity. Every client is different and every property unique. Working for a small real estate firm allows me the freedom and flexibility to help each client in a way that best suits their needs. I have a passion for photography and I’m lucky to be able to incorporate that into my real estate business. I enjoy taking pictures and creating videos of my listings. When I started in real estate we used an actual MLS book, printed every two weeks. Only agents had access to these books. Buyers had to drive through neighborhoods and browse newspaper ads to find homes for sale. Fortunately those days are long gone.Today, every listing is available online. There are photos (and sometimes a video) and always detailed information about each property. But, when there are dozens or hundreds of properties to view online, how do buyers decide? This is why pictures and videos are so important. When a buyer likes the online images, they want to see that property in person.
Selling real estate has dramatically changed over the last 18 years. We’ve gone from using listing books with one photo to the World Wide Web with unlimited photos. We now create High Definition Real Estate Videos just like TV commercials.
I can’t wait to see what’s next!
